What's new with Ali Milner: November edition

For Immediate Release:
November 3, 2009

Ali Milner has been staying busy performing across Canada and overseas, launching her new album and gaining new fans every time she takes the stage.

The 19-year-old singer/songwriter is displaying her passion and patriotism, performing the national anthem November 4th at a Canadian citizenship ceremony at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler.

Next up is a big-ticket appearance at “A Garden of Earthly Delights Gala” on November 14th at The Cultch (Vancouver East Cultural Centre), featuring a special chef-catered reception and performances throughout the night.

At the end of November, Ali will be hosting her album launch for I Dare You in Toronto.

Recently, the Canadian pop/jazz sensation hopped on a plane to England for three U.K. gigs. The first was at Mama Liz’s Voodoo Lounge in Stamford, which hosts a variety of musical acts from all genres and has a reputation for booking talented acts. Ali charmed the crowd, selling out her CDs and signing autographs after the show. Next up was the Portobello Acoustic Sessions at The Lounge at The Metropolitan in Notting Hill. She closed her U.K. tour with a special performance at London’s Canada House at Trafalgar Square for the Canadian Tourism Commission.

Pique Newsmagazine called Ali “Whistler's official singing and songwriting sweetheart…” and Bob Segarini boasted, “She is not a product of a phalanx of writers, producers, managers, label heads, choreographers, and assorted advisors. She is the product of a tight knit family, a love of music, natural talent nurtured and refined by hard work, discipline, and an extraordinary sense of taste and self…”
