What's new with Ali Milner: Olympic edition

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ali Milner is in Tokyo for a special performance November 25th during a Canadian Heritage reception. She will give an intimate concert at the Canadian Ambassador’s residence to celebrate the 80-day countdown to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler, B.C. Performing solo, she will showcase her piano skills and velvety vocals.

This is a fitting Olympic introduction for the 19-year-old singer/songwriter who will perform at the Village Square during the Winter Olympics on February 17th as part of the public open air music programming to celebrate the 2010 Olympics. Other acts performing throughout the 17 days are Barenaked Ladies, Blue Rodeo and Sam Roberts.

“I’m honoured to have been selected to help my home city celebrate such a prominent event and to be in the company of so many other great Canadian performers,” said Ali.

The pop/jazz artist recently displayed her passion and patriotism, performing the national anthem during a Canadian citizenship ceremony November 4th at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler.

She’ll be in Toronto for the launch of her new album, I Dare You, at the The Free Times Cafe, December 16th at 7 p.m.

Whistler will also be seeing a lot of its hometown sweetheart in the month of December. Ali will be part of the Whistler Film Festival Music Showcase December 5th and at the Firerock Lounge of the Whistler Westin Hotel later that night - both with her band. Then she'll perform solo December 23rd at Nita Lake Lounge as part of their "10 days to Christmas" showcase, and again on December 27th.

Images and the album are available upon request.  We are presently confirming interviews.
